Proven experience in a dedicated Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) role, focusing on increasing organic traffic and sales for e-commerce and physical stores.
Hands-on experience with Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and strategies for maximizing visibility on AI-powered search results and generative platforms.
Expertise in Technical SEO, including working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Content Management Systems (CMS) like Shopify, WordPress, or Magento.
Demonstrated proficiency with key SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and platforms like SEMrush, Moz, ahrefs, or Similarweb.
Experience in developing and executing a comprehensive Content Strategy, including SEO-focused copywriting, to build topic authority and improve keyword rankings.
Experience performing technical audits, monitoring Core Web Vitals (CWV), and managing crawl efficiency and indexability to ensure excellent site health and performance.
Post matric qualification (Marketing, Communications) or Psychology or Data Analytics
Proven Ecommerce Track Record: 3–5+ years of experience writing for high-volume online retailers, with a portfolio showcasing optimized product and category pages.
SEO Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or BrightEdge for keyword research and gap analysis.
Search Console & Analytics: Experience using Google Search Console to monitor rankings and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track content performance and conversions.
CMS Familiarity: Proficiency working within enterprise-level Content Management Systems (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento/Adobe Commerce, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
