Completion of Community service in Diagnostic Radiography is necessary. Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Diagnostic Radiographer. Current registration with HPCSA for 2025/2026. Knowledge in handling of Trauma patients. No experience required after completion of community service in Radiography. Knowledge/Competence/Skills: Knowledge of relevant public service regulations, legislation, policies, acts and procedures. Computer literacy (Ms Word, Ms. Excel). Compliance with Radiographic Quality Assurance, National Core Standards, Health and Safety and Infection Control principles. Good written and communication skills. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Must have a good understanding of public hospital operational systems. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skill, strategic planning organizational skills, leadership qualities and supervisory skills.
Appropriate qualification that allows for the required registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession in Environmental Health. The following will be added advantage: One-year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in Environmental Health. Good communication skills (verbal and written), Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Presentation and Excel). Knowledge and understanding of policies and strategies of the department. Ability to interpret and apply policies. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Ability to lead and or operate within a multidisciplinary team. Good interpersonal relations skills. Ability to collect, collate, analyse information/data and write reports. Must have a valid driver’s licence.
An appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the HPCSA as Podiatry, Current registration with the Health Professional council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an independent practitioner in Podiatrist for 2025/2026. No experience required. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. Ability to work under pressure. Have analytical and creative skills and be adaptable.
Manage and run a Neuro-surgery department at CHBAH. Perform clinical duties in areas of personal special interest and expertise. Ensure that clinical services are provided. Active participation in administrative duties of the department which include planning, budgeting, PMDS, student assessments and research. Comply with the Performance and development System (Contracting, six monthly reviews and final assessments). To collaborate and assist the Director of Clinical Services at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and the Cluster Hospitals whenever needed, in service delivery, teaching and training as an outreach programme. Ensure that appropriate, ethical, and quality research is performed in the department as part of a wider agenda to explore improvements in health care in the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital region and South Africa as a whole with publication of the results in peer-reviewed scientific journals. As part of the University’s responsibility, ensure sufficient and high-quality teaching be provided to undergraduate students and postgraduates students. Participate in the Fellowship examinations of the College of Surgeons of South Africa and assist the HPCSA in its accreditation of Neuro-surgery care provision in the cluster. Ensure the employment of the previously disadvantaged individuals in terms of race, gender, and disability to enhance equity. Perform commuted overtime as per departmental requirement. Contribute to departmental planning, budgeting, and procurement processes as well as monitoring and evaluation.
Facilitate the provision of Education and Training of Postgraduate Diploma students in both clinical and theory. Guide, support and exercise control over Postgraduate Diploma students Implement assessment strategies to determine students’ competency. Support the Vision and Mission of the College through participation in Campus and College committee meetings and activities. Participate in Scholarly Research and Community Engagement activities at the Campus and College. Participate in curriculum implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review.
A Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate. A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in terms of government notice R.425 (i.e., Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Education and Administration) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. Post Basic Diploma Qualification (R.212 or R48) registered with SANC. Master’s degree in nursing will be an added advantage. Proof of current registration with SANC. PND1 minimum of 4 years appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur or PND2 minimum of 14 years of appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur, at least 10 years of the period must be appropriate experience in Nursing Education. An Assessor and Moderator certificates will be an added advantage. Good communication, supervisory, report writing and presentation skills. Knowledge of Student Affairs processes in a Nursing Education Institution will be an added advantage. Ability to work in a team and under pressure. Computer literacy/ certificate (MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint). A valid driver’s license.
