Laboratory Scientist Certificate in Histology
• Current registration with the HPCSA in Histology
• Computer literate with Skylims knowledge is advantageous

• 3-5 years of Histology experience post HPCSA registration
as a qualified Medical Technologist, Medical Technician or
Medical Laboratory Scientist
03. Position:– Entry-level Medical Technologist

• National diploma/degree in Medical Technologist
qualification in Clinical pathology
• Current registration with the HPCSA in Clinical
pathology

• 1-3 years of Clinical experience post HPCSA
registration
• Experience in technical procedure development and
implementation
• Experience in maintaining QA Systems
04. Position:– Senior Medical Technologist/Technician

• National diploma qualification/Medical Technician or
Medical Technologist Certificate in Clinical Pathology
• Current registration with the HPCSA in Clinical
Pathology
• Relevant business/laboratory management qualification

• 8 years’ experience in a Clinical Pathology environment
• General management/supervisory experience in a
Clinical Pathology setting
• Experience in QC review processes and experience in
maintaining QA systems including SANAS audits.
• Experience in technical procedure development and
implementation.
• Experience in training staff.
05. Position:– Experienced Medical Technologist/Technician
